Canadian actor Eugene Levy is to be honored with a star plaque in Hollywood. The 77-year-old will unveil the 2,773rd star on the “Walk of Fame” on March 8, the award’s presenters announced. Guest speakers include Catherine O’Hara and Levy’s daughter, actress Sarah Levy. All three starred together in the award-winning comedy series “Schitt’s Creek” (2015 to 2020).

Emmy award winner Levy, who also developed the “Schitt’s Creek” story with his son Daniel Levy, plays the once wealthy Johnny Rose in the sitcom, who, after financial bankruptcy, moves with his family from a magnificent villa to a motel in the backwater of Schitt’s Creek moves.

Eugene Levy also portrayed the father figure Noah Levenstein in the comedy film series “American Pie” (1999 to 2012). His other hit comedies include “Splash” (1984), “Best in Show” (2000) and “Cheaper by the Dozen” (2003).

The “Walk of Fame” is a stretch of sidewalk on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles into which the star-shaped plaques are embedded. Since 1960, over 2,700 stars have been awarded.
