Both for her fans and for Helene Fischer (38) herself, a period of suffering ended last Tuesday (April 11): the singer impressively demonstrated on the stage of the Barclays Arena in Hamburg that she had almost completely recovered from her fractured ribs during rehearsals. And for the countless followers of Schlagerqueen, some of whom had already arrived on the previous Monday, an extended waiting period passed. Fischer’s last and only concert in 2022 was in Munich. “We haven’t seen each other in a long time. It’s wonderful to be back on this stage,” she said, so she was happy about the comeback.
For the slightly delayed premiere of her “Rausch Live” tour, Fischer worked even harder. She offered her around 12,000 fans present various costume changes and floated through the air together with artists from the Canadian Cirque du Soleil. For “Never Enough”, her only English-language song of the evening, she even had a waterfall conjured up on stage.
She started the three-hour show with her hit “Null to 100”. She then pointed to the culprit who had prevented her from starting in Bremen on March 21 as planned. “It was this little rib here. It hasn’t fully healed yet, but I’ll give it my all today!” Fischer said while pointing to the right side of her torso.
Emotional highlight of the tour start: With her song “Hand in Hand”, Fischer rose together with her partner and father of her child, dancer and acrobat Thomas Seitel (38), on ropes in the air. The shirtless Seitel yearned deeply for his sweetheart and left the stage hand in hand with her – matching the song.
For her biggest hit “Atemlos durch die Nacht” she came up with something special: strapped to a robotic arm, she performed the song to applause, sometimes even upside down. After a literally fiery encore (flamethrowers lit up the stage) and with a standing ovation from the audience, she finally ended the gig.
Fischer has big plans for the “Rausch Live” tour: a total of 70 dates in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are on the 38-year-old’s calendar. On April 14th, 15th and 16th she will perform again in Hamburg in the Barclays Arena, after that she will go to Dortmund for as many as five concerts (April 18th to 23rd, Westfallenhalle). The grand finale will take place on October 8th in Frankfurt.
