Ariana Grande (30) and Dalton Gomez (28) want to divorce, according to consistent US media reports. The singer filed for divorce today, September 18th. Shortly afterwards, the real estate agent also filed a corresponding application in court, as “People” magazine and “TMZ” write, among others.
According to the celebrity portal, Grande is represented by divorce lawyer Laura Wasser (55), who is particularly popular in Hollywood circles. Wasser stated that the reason for the divorce was “irreconcilable differences”. The couple separated in February.
In July, several US media reported that Grande and Gomez were no longer a couple. People claimed at the time that they had been going their separate ways for a while, quoting an insider who said they were “quietly and lovingly working on their friendship.”
A little later there were reports that Grande was now dating Broadway actor Ethan Slater (31). The two are co-stars and will appear together in the musical film adaptation “Wicked,” which is scheduled for release in 2024. At the end of July, “TMZ” reported, citing available court documents, that Slater had filed for divorce from his wife Lilly Jay, to whom he has been married since 2018.
Grande announced her engagement to Gomez on Instagram at the end of 2020. “Forever and ever,” she wrote at the time about several pictures in which, among other things, she showed her ring. She then published photos of the two’s wedding on the platform in May 2021. Shortly before, a spokesman for the “People” singer had confirmed that the two had married.
