The pop singer and moderator Stefan Mross is allowed to continue moderating the ARD program “Always Again on Sundays” after a fight in a hotel.

At the request of the German Press Agency, the SWR in Baden-Baden said: “Together with Stefan Mross, we discussed the facts and the background honestly, openly and on the basis of mutual trust and thus clarified them.” The new season begins on May 7th. Twelve episodes of the live broadcast are planned by the end of August.

The district court of Leipzig issued a penalty order against the Traunstein hit star in November after there had been a physical altercation between Mross and a young man in the hotel. According to the Leipzig public prosecutor’s office, the criminal order involved intentional bodily harm in combination with attempted coercion. “In the legal sense, this legally imposed fine is a criminal record, which (…) is entered in the federal central register,” said a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office.

Stefan Mross: “I overreacted”

Mross told the German Press Agency that he “laid an egg himself”. He openly admitted: “I overreacted. I’m sorry and I apologized to those affected.” As the dpa learned when asked, according to his lawyer, there were no entries in the certificate of good conduct. The pop singer went on to say that he is now looking ahead and getting fit for the summer and for the new season of the live show.

A few weeks ago, Mross commented on the allegations in the “Bild” newspaper: the young man initially insulted and insulted him at dinner in the hotel restaurant as a “schlager fuzzi” and “playback artist”. When he then followed the singer to the room and continued to make fun of him, Mross grabbed his shirt collar. “The probability that I’ll do something like that is zero, but the guy really got on my nerves,” said Mross at the time. “The horses simply ran away with me. I’m not proud of that.”

“Always Sundays” is produced on an open-air stage in Europa-Park Rust near Freiburg and is broadcast on Sunday mornings in summer on the first channel. Stars from the hit scene appear and sometimes sing with moderator Mross. There are regular activities in which the local audience is involved. The show regularly gathers an audience of millions in front of the receivers.
