Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentin have a lot in common: both are young women, look very good and have even received awards for it. 26-year-old Varela was crowned Miss Argentina, while 22-year-old Valentin received the title in her native Puerto Rico. But what nobody knew: the two women have a lot more in common.
Varela and Valentin have been lovers for some time, but kept it secret from the public for a long time. In 2020 they met at the beauty pageant “Miss Grand International” in Thailand. None of them could win there, but a serious relationship arose from the meeting. The two women have now made this public.
They announced that they are together with a video that they both published simultaneously on their Instagram accounts. And not only that: Varela and Valentin have already married. In the 30-second video, they show pictures together and at the end also the marriage proposal in the living room at home. Finally, in the last scene of the video, they can also be seen as a married couple right after saying yes.
“Having decided to keep our relationship a secret, we open the doors on a special day,” the couple commented on the clip. Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentin got married just in time for the start of “Pride Week” in Argentina. Same-sex marriage has been legal in Puerto Rico, where the couple married, since 2015. The two models received numerous congratulations in the comments on their Instagram profiles, although many followers were of course very surprised by the news.
