Convicted fraudster Anna Sorokin (32) was released from prison in October 2022 on bail. Although she has been under house arrest since then and has to wear an ankle bracelet, she is apparently still taking big steps to make it public. As various international media reports, including “Page Six”, Sorokin is working on his own reality format. In it, she reportedly wanted to invite stars and starlets to dinner in her Manhattan apartment to talk about God, the world and primarily herself.
Under the title “Delvey’s Dinner Club”, the show is to be created, and a company called Butternut is cited as the production company. “There is nothing like the experience of bringing a select group of friends together, sharing life stories with them and having a great dining experience in the process,” Sorokin said. A lot should revolve around her career and especially her criminal history, it is said.
The 32-year-old “Page Six” has already announced her dream cast for the first episodes. Among other things, she would be particularly happy about a visit from tech billionaire Elon Musk (51) or pop star Madonna (64).
Sorokin was arrested for fraud in 2017 and sentenced to at least four years in prison in 2019. The accusation: She posed as the German heiress Anna Delvey and thus stole services and goods worth more than 200,000 US dollars from Manhattan’s high society. This earned her the nickname “Soho Grifter”. Most recently, she was in US custody pending deportation due to an expired residence permit.
Anna Sorokin’s crimes have become known to a wide range of people because of the Netflix series “Inventing Anna”. The nine-part miniseries, which was released on the streaming service in February 2022, tells a fictionalized version of Sorokin’s machinations. Actress Julia Garner (28) portrays Anna Sorokin/Delvey in the Netflix production based on the article “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People” by editor Jessica Pressler.
