The actress Anna Maria trouble (37) tries something new. In Berlin she takes on her first theater role. After many film and series shoots, she plays at the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm.

In the past few years, she has had the opportunity to do theater projects a few times, but has never been able to do it because she has already been in film projects, said trouble on the phone. In her estimation, the time had not yet come.

“When I got the request in the fall, it felt right,” Trouble told the German Press Agency. For Trouble, it makes sense to play a comedy in Berlin, with her best friend and the director Christopher Tölle.

The play “Pride and Prejudice *Or Something” by Isobel McArthur takes up a novel by the British author Jane Austen (1775-1817), albeit in a modified form. The new production in Berlin was supposed to premiere on Sunday evening.

Stage Fright

Trouble said during the conversation that everything was very exciting and that she had been nervous for weeks. How does she personally deal with nervousness? “You mean, do I have a prescription for nervousness? No, that would be nice. If someone has it – please contact me directly,” said Trouble and laughed. “I can’t handle it at all. And I think it’s just exhausting for everyone around me.”

Trouble could be seen, for example, in the series “Totenfrau” and “Dogs of Berlin”. She acts in the TV series “Solo für Weiss” and has made several films. When asked if theater feels very different from shooting a film, she said: “Yeah, you really can’t compare it. The beauty of it is I’m 37 now and you don’t have many firsts at that age. It’s great, something to experience and go through what I had never known before.”
