According to the actor Lenn Kudrjawizki (“Croatia Crime”), the war in Ukraine is an emotional burden. Shortly before the anniversary of the outbreak of war, the 47-year-old told the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung”: “It’s an unbearable feeling. Apart from the fact that for me every war lacks any logic, this war has robbed me of a bit of my identity and soul that I grew up with and that give me roots. It breaks my heart.”

In his childhood, the Soviet Union was always a world of many peoples for him, he said. “I didn’t differentiate between Russia and Ukraine, I didn’t care if my father was born in Ukraine and my mother in Russia. For me it was a Russian-speaking cosmos.” Russia started the war against neighboring Ukraine on February 24 last year.

The actor said that his relatives are still in the hard-fought city of Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine. “They are still alive – in fear and terror. And they tell us how the house next door was hit and how they pray that their house is not hit by rockets.”
