Lupita Nyong’o (39) is in the final negotiations for a new leading role: The “Black Panther” actress is to play in “A Quiet Place: Day One”. This is reported by “Deadline” and “The Hollywood Reporter”. The film is a spin-off of “A Quiet Place,” which turned out to be a surprise hit in 2018.

The horror thriller by and with John Krasinski (43) has already received a sequel in 2021 with “A Quiet Place 2”. The spin-off is set to be directed by Michael Sarnoski, and Krasinski once again came up with the idea. Nothing is known about the exact content of the film. The strip is scheduled to premiere on March 8, 2024. In addition to the spin-off, a third installment in the main film series, A Quiet Place, is in the works and has been announced for 2025.

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for the first time: The actress can be seen in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, the sequel to “Black Panther” (2018) from November 9th. In it, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers following the death of King T’Challa. As the Wakandans scramble to begin their next chapter, the heroes, with the help of elite warrior Nakia (Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), must band together and chart a new path for the Kingdom of Wakanda.
