A deep wound in the thigh at ten centimeters could have been a 24-year-old man’s life.
The 13-centimetre-long knife he had received in the leg, had cut two holes in the lårbensåren.
And the situation brought the young man in mortal danger.
It began otherwise, as a good-natured banter in the slagterafdelingen in a Referendum in Kolding, denmark last autumn, writes JydskeVestkysten.
Here stood the young slagtersvend and made fun with a slightly older colleague. At one point he threw a piece of paper in the head of the 30-year-old colleague. It was his colleague so angry, that he threw a knife in the thigh at him.
“I poked him in the side, after which he said to me that if I did it again, he would smash me. I thought he was just kidding, so I threw a paper in his head. So he gathered the knife up with his left hand and threw it at me.”
How to explained the 24-year-old victim Monday in the court of Kolding, where his colleague from slagterafdelingen sat on the dock.
the Incident ended up costing the 30-year-old a conditional sentence of three months imprisonment.
He has, however, a different interpretation of the incident. In court he explained that it was an accident, that he came to push to the knife that kralbet lay next to him.
Therefore, the wing blade along the table and ended up deep in the thigh of his colleague.
He claimed that he had forgotten, that the knife lay on the table, and that he did not hit it with will.
After the accident were the 24-year-old man immediately run on the operating table. Shortly after he was, however, a blood clot in his thigh, which meant that he had to be operated on again.
That was three months before the young slagtersvend again be able to go to work. Here – a year on – he has still problems with that move.
The 30-year-old, who threw the knife, was born in Poland, but came to Denmark as a nine-year-old.
in Addition to the conditional prison sentence he received a warning of expulsion, and so he must pay his colleague a replacement at 23.475 crowns.
the Judge did not, that it was proven that he intentionally had thrown a knife after his colleague, however, pointed out that he should have considered that he could get hurt.
