Demi Lovato’s punk rock era is finally here
The “Sorry Not Sorry!” singer announced Monday that their eighth studio album, entitled HOLY FVCK will be released by Island Records on Aug. 19. This marks a return to their earlier pop-punk and rock sounding records.
Lovato, 29 years old, stated that the process of creating the album was the most satisfying yet. He also expressed gratitude to his collaborators and fans for sharing this journey with him.
They said that they have never been more confident in myself and their music than this forthcoming 16-track album. It is their first full-length work since Dancing with the Devil…The Art of Starting Over, which was released in 2021.
Lovato concluded his statement by saying, “To my Lovatics that have rocked out with me from the beginning and to those who are just now joining the ride, thankyou.” This record is for you.
Lovato released a new song titled “Skin of My Teeth” last month. The music video will be released on Friday, the same day as its debut performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Produced and co-written with Lovato, Alex Nicefro and Keith Sorrells. The former Camp Rock star, lil’aaron, has shared several lyrics from “Skin of My Teeth”, which was produced by Warren “Oak” Felder and co-written by Lovato, Alex Nicefro.
“I’m just trying keep my head above the water / I am your son and you’re your daughter / My mother and I are your father / It’s just a problem,” they said on Twitter June 4, alongside promotional photos and a link to pre-order the single.
