Passengers on the railway line between Bebra in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district and Frankfurt will have to be prepared for train cancellations and timetable changes from Monday. The reason for the restrictions from Monday, April 17th to Saturday, April 22nd, was construction work, the North Hessian Transport Association (NVV) announced on Friday.
During this time, the railway line between Wächtersbach and Hanau cannot be used between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., which is why there are train cancellations, rail replacement services with buses and changed travel times.
In addition, due to construction work, trains will be diverted from Thursday to Saturday between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. This eliminates the need to stop at Offenbach Central Station for some connections, it said. According to the NVV, passengers who travel with the regional train lines RE 5 or RE 50 between Bebra and Frankfurt are also affected by changed travel times or cancellations.
