The death of a German citizen who lived in Dénia has reported substantial benefits to the coffers of the Generalitat Valenciana in the form of an inheritance, since she died without signing a will or leaving legal heirs. The regional executive has appropriated 350,000 euros in current accounts, various shares that have already been sold for an amount of 480,000 euros, as well as three properties in Dénia.

Now the Generalitat has made public the auction of 31 24-carat gold coins of the Austro-Hungarian crown, as well as four insignia (the Commendation of the Order of the Eagle, the Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit, the Cross of the Order Isabel la Católica and a University Militia lapel pin) from the heritage of this German citizen.

The starting price of these pieces will be 50,458 euros (in five different lots to facilitate offers) and the auction is taking place because the Generalitat has declared the pieces as “unnecessary for public service” and they have not been considered of interest either. culturally significant as there are similar pieces.

Specifically, the 31 gold coins have a diameter of 37 mm, a gold content of 30.49 grams of pure 24-carat gold and are dated 1915 in the Austro-Hungarian crown.

The medals and badges, for their part, will be sold together for a starting price of 3,000 euros, which includes a case with the cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic and the enameled lapel badge of the University Militias; another case with the Commendation of the Order of the Eagle, of German origin; and a third case with the plaque of the Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit.

This is the first auction of movable property from an intestate inheritance to be carried out by the Generalitat. Yes, auctions of real estate (plots, houses, flats or garages) of intestate inheritances have been carried out before, since these are usually more common in the hereditary estate.

People interested in participating in the auctions must provide the application and the corresponding deposit within 30 calendar days, preferably through the General Registry of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Model.
