The Vedruna Toledo (Carmelitas) school and its AMPA, in a firm commitment to technology and innovation, have launched a digital newspaper, the first of a school in Toledo, which will be fully prepared by the students of the center. The link to view it is www.periodicovedrunatoledo.redquijote.org/
It is a “professional” digital newspaper but produced by the students of Colegio Vedruna Toledo. The aim is to give children a voice, that is, a digital newspaper for students, made by them and in which all grades from fifth grade onwards can participate, 365 days a year.
The first edition of this digital school newspaper has had the collaboration of the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Castilla-La Mancha, Rosa Ana Rodríguez, who has granted an interview to the students Carlos Muñoz, Jesús Vieites and Pablo García Romay.
One of the objectives of this project is that young people try to “run away” from social networks, mobile phones and “courtyard circles”, so that they take advantage of their newspaper and talk about what they want, always with order and a some control.
The medium will have the different sections. Thus, in leisure and free time there will be room for all those topics that are to the liking of young people, such as cinema, music, cooking, fashion, travel, recommendations, etc. And in Cole and all the information of the school will be published.
The purpose of Sports is not to talk about professional teams, but about the sport they practice, the clubs they are part of or the merits of each one of them in their respective competition.
There will be interviews so that everyone knows the successes of the students themselves and of those who have stood out for some reason. And there will also be student opinion talking about their own topics and interests.
It is a project that wants to survive and that is only the beginning of much larger objectives that the AMPA wants to set in motion to reward the excellence of the students and give them the necessary tools to express themselves.
