In the middle of the PP congress in Madrid, Genoa has reported relevant appointments in the party’s national leadership team. Alberto Núñez Feijóo further reinforces Esteban González Pons, MEP and Deputy Secretary for Institutional Affairs, who will directly deal with the areas of Justice, Defense and Constitutional Policy.
The National Executive Committee next Monday is expected to approve all pending appointments, the second and third steps of the national leadership, and for now they have decided to advance the announcement of some appointments.
PP sources have reported that the deputy secretary of Institutional Policy, Esteban González Pons, will assume in the first person the powers of Justice, Defense and Constitutional Policy, and will have Gabriel Mato as executive secretary of International Policy.
He will also have a person in charge of the Interior area on his team.
For his part, Antonio Rodríguez Miranda will be executive secretary of the PP abroad, under the coordination of the deputy secretary of Organization, Miguel Tellado, who will also propose Carmen Fúnez as head of the Electoral Action area.
In addition, the former mayor of Guadalajara, Antonio Román, will be executive secretary of Municipal Policy and Large Cities, and will report to the deputy secretary of Autonomous Policy, Pedro Rollán.
These appointments will be proposed during the celebration of the National Executive Committee, which the PP will hold on Monday.
