Eight weeks after the last edition of the ARD Monday talk “hard but fair” with Frank Plasberg (65), his successor Louis Klamroth, who is half his age, appears in the first. According to the ARD announcement on Friday, the topic of the program (9.1., 9 p.m.) should be: “A country is getting poorer – who will pay the 2023 crisis bill?”.

SPD leader Lars Klingbeil and CDU presidium member Jens Spahn were announced as guests. “I’m really looking forward to my first “hard but fair” show,” said Klamroth (33). “I can promise all viewers that I will remain true to the successful and distinctive concept of the show.” At the same time, there are “a few innovations”.

Frank Plasberg had presented the show for more than 20 years. Especially in its first years, the show was style-defining – from the famous fact check to the playful final round. It ran on WDR from 2001 and has been on ARD since 2007.
