Things didn’t really go well for Oliver Pocher at the Celebrity Darts World Cup by Pro Sieben: The 44-year-old initially provoked with his outfit – he imitated the appearance of darts professional Peter with a black, red and gold Iro and a seahorse on his head Wright, who formed a team with Pocher’s wife Amira. The comedian was not well received by the audience in Düsseldorf, there were a lot of boos.
Even Amira had to defend her husband. “Now stop booing! Really, that’s so uncool. I don’t understand it at all. It doesn’t matter!” She exclaimed. However, the 30-year-old had no sympathy for the disc. In a direct duel, she and Wright prevailed against Pocher and his partner Fallon Sherrock.
All in all, not a successful evening for Oliver Pocher, one would think. His record of the Celebrity Darts World Cup was completely different the next day – namely consistently positive. It was a “very, very funny event”, reported Pocher in his Instagram story.
Above all, he was impressed by the darts professionals – “totally relaxed guys” according to Pocher: “I don’t think there is any ‘sport’ in the world where you drink three beers before, three beers during and three beers afterwards and all that are deeply relaxed.” In addition to Fallock and Wright, other world-class dart players such as former world champion Gerwyn Price, German shooting star Gabriel Clemens and three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen took part in the show.
“One wears a Rolex, the other just has such a good time and then a few darts are thrown,” enthuses the entertainer about the atmosphere at darts. The audience’s reaction to his performance apparently didn’t concern him. And his teammate Fallon Sherrock seemed to have had fun too. On Twitter she thanked her for the “absolutely fantastic evening”.
