The house in which singer Beyoncé (42) spent the first five years of her life went up in flames on the night of Christmas Day. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire in Houston.
As “TMZ” reported, among others, the firefighters were called to the house in the city’s third district around 2 a.m. Flames burst from the first floor, but rescue workers were able to tackle the fire in just ten minutes. The residents – a family with two small children – were able to escape and no one was hurt.
Beyoncé’s parents bought the two-story house in the year the singer was born, 1981. The future superstar spent the first part of his childhood there and lived there until he was five years old. Before sister Solange Knowles (37) was born, the family moved. The brick building on Rosedale Street, built in 1946, was for sale in 2019. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a spiral staircase leading to third floor office space. Even though Beyoncé’s family hasn’t lived there for a long time, many fans make a pilgrimage to the house. Sightseeing tours also stop there.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and investigations are ongoing.
