Prominent newcomer to the private broadcaster Sat.1: In the future, the popular TV chef Nelson Müller (43) will also be present as a juror and coach in the cooking show “The Taste”. As the broadcaster from Unterföhring announced, the head of the Essen noble restaurant “Schote” will evaluate the creations of the candidates in the upcoming eleventh season alongside Alexander Herrmann (51), Alexander Kumptner (39) and Tim Raue (48). The special thing about “The Taste”: The participants present their creations on just one spoon.

Nelson Müller on his new commitment: “After my first appearance as a guest coach last year, the thought of the white porcelain spoon never left my mind. Now I can return to ‘The Taste’ as a coach and juror and can hardly wait to see to tell stories of pleasure with my team on the spoon – and to light the fire under the buttocks of the other chefs.” Sat.1 and the Joyn streaming service will show the new episodes with moderator Angelina Kirsch (34) next summer.

Since 2013, hobby and professional chefs have been competing against each other at “The Taste”. Those who prevail against the competition win 50,000 euros in prize money and are allowed to publish their own cookbook. In addition to the TV chefs mentioned, Frank Rosin (56), Léa Linster (67), Cornelia Poletto (51), Tim Mälzer (52), Roland Trettl (51) and Maria Groß (43) have also taken part as jurors and coaches.

Nelson Müller has been seen in various TV formats as a chef and nutrition expert for many years. After his first appearances on WDR local television, he first appeared in well-known cooking programs such as “Die Küchenschlacht” or “Lanz kocht!” on ZDF. He was also seen on the Sat.1 show “Deutschlands Meisterkoch” in 2010. Müller also took part in the third season of the ProSieben show “The Masked Singer” in a format of the ProSieben / Sat.1 broadcasting group.
