After it was already known that superstar Sylvester Stallone will have his own reality show on Paramount, the US streaming service has now announced further details. The initially eight-episode show entitled “The Family Stallone” will accompany Stallone, his longtime wife Jennifer Flavin and their three daughters Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet in their private lives. “The Family Stallone” is due to be released by Paramount in the US this spring.
“Sylvester Stallone is ready to give the cameras access to what he considers to be the greatest role in his life: being a father,” Variety said in a Paramount press release. The series “The Family Stallone” aims to offer viewers “a seat at the table of one of Hollywood’s most famous families”. “This is an opportunity where I’m with my kids in working conditions where they see me in action and I see them in action. What you’re going to see is the real truth. This is a great opportunity. I’m looking at it not as an attempt to conquer. But every time you go in a different direction, people say, ‘Oh God, you must be in trouble.’ Exactly the opposite is the case,” the action star told the Hollywood Reporter.
Many viewers are likely to get to know Stallone’s wife Jennifer Flavin and daughters Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet for the first time through the new show. Flavin co-owns cosmetics and beauty line Serious Skin Care, while daughters Sistine and Scarlet want to follow in their famous father’s footsteps and become actresses. Scarlet Stallone was also seen alongside her father in the hit series “Tulsa King”, which is also based on Paramount and starts in Germany on March 19, 2023.
So far it is unclear whether Stallone and Flavin’s marital problems will also be an issue in “The Family Stallone”. Flavin filed for divorce last August after 25 years of marriage. But just a few weeks later, the couple reconciled and put the previous differences to rest. Looking back on those turbulent weeks, Stallone told The Sunday Times in October: “There was a reawakening of what’s most important to me, and that’s my love for my family.”
