Around nine years after the end of “How I Met Your Mother” (2005-2014), actors Josh Radnor (48) and Alyson Hannigan (48) celebrated a small reunion. Radnor shared a photo together via Instagram. He smiles at the camera in a light brown denim jacket, Hannigan wears a dark blue sweater with a floral pattern and is also beaming from ear to ear.

“Look who I had lunch with today,” he wrote. “With none other than Alyson Hannigan herself! It was lovely. It was so nice to meet up again and talk about all things. And her amazing sweater made it all so special. I will always love this girl,” he said 48 year old.

The sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” ended around nine years ago, in which Radnor played the architect Ted and Hannigan the kindergarten teacher Lily. Ted is looking for love in it, while Lily is happily together with Marshall (Jason Segel, 43). Ted and Lily are close friends on the show, but they seem to get along great off-screen too.

Since their collaboration on the hit sitcom, the two mimes have only played in smaller productions. Hannigan was last seen in the Disney comedy Flora and Ulysses in 2021. She has been married to fellow actor Alexis Denisof since 2003, with whom she has two daughters.

Radnor has been starring in the Amazon Prime series Hunters since 2020. He had a speaking role in the animated musical series Centaurworld on Netflix in 2021.

Her “How I Met Your Mother” colleague Jason Segel had hinted at the end of January that he was open to returning as Marshall Eriksen in “How I Met Your Father” (since 2022), the spin-off of the hit series. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he said he would “do anything” for the creators of the Hulu sequel, including reprising his role from the original CBS series. “These people changed my life and I would do anything they ask of me,” he told ET when asked if he would consider a role in the reboot series.

“How I Met Your Father” reverses the plot of the original series. A woman named Sophie – played by Hilary Duff (35) in the present and Kim Cattrall (66) in the future – tells her son how she met his father.
