The “Let’s Dance” professional dancer Renata Lusin (35) suffered a miscarriage. According to previous media reports, she has now confirmed to the broadcaster RTL: “Yes, unfortunately it’s true, the baby has not developed.” She can’t say how she feels at the moment: “I have to process the whole thing first, but I’m trying to stay strong.”
A few weeks ago, Renata and her husband Valentin Lusin (36), who is also known from the dance show, confirmed that they were expecting a child. That’s why the dancer had to cancel her participation in the new season, which started recently. The broadcaster wrote on Instagram on February 15 that the couple, who have been together for around 20 years and have been married since 2014, are expecting their first child together. It was already clear that her colleague Malika Dzumaev (32) would replace Renata Lusin.
The couple had confirmed the pregnancy to the broadcaster. “It’s still very early. It’s weird to tell it now, but I’m just being honest,” Renata Lusin told RTL shortly afterwards. “It really just happened. I found out a few days ago. I went to the doctor’s yesterday and called production right after the visit.”
Actually, she only wanted to make the pregnancy public at a later date. Because the show is now starting and her doctor had advised against participating, she is now speaking about it in public so early, Lusin had explained.
