Singer Sasha (52) continues to recover after developing pneumonia. On the occasion of his birthday, he gave a health update on Instagram that should give many fans hope. Things are looking up, said the musician, who had to cancel his tour planned for December 2023 at short notice due to illness.
The singer spent the New Year and his special day in South Tyrol with friends and family. And Sasha is obviously doing much better again: He posted pictures that show him hiking through the snow and sledding with his son Otto (5). He thanked him on Instagram “for all the beautiful congratulations on my birthday on all levels and lines.” He went on to say: “The new year is starting well… things are getting better and better and I feel almost restored again… so let’s do it again!”
The ailing musician had previously treated himself on Sylt. “The sea air is really good and helps,” he wrote on December 10th alongside a photo of the beach in Keitum. “I’m on a good, gentle path to recovery.”
At the end of November, the now 52-year-old shocked his fans because he had to pull the ripcord just a few days before the start of his tour “This is my Time – The Show”. The tour was actually supposed to start in Siegen on December 1st. On November 28th, Sasha addressed his followers via Instagram “with tears in his eyes”. He wrote in a long text that pneumonia was on the horizon, which would put him out of action. His doctor “pulled the ripcord” and banned him from performing in this condition.
But the tour doesn’t fall through completely, alternative dates were quickly found: It starts on May 14, 2024 in Lingen in the Emsland Arena. The last date is May 26th at the Tempodrom in Berlin. There are a total of ten concerts coming up, and Sasha wants to be completely fit again by then.
