Boris Becker is on a high after his life’s low: he survived the time in prison, an advertising deal in his luggage and things are going great with his girlfriend Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro. Only the relationship with Sharlely Becker, who is still his wife, seems to have cracked.
Getting a patchwork family organized is not always easy for Becker, as he recently explained to the British newspaper Telegraph. “It takes intelligent parents to find a way. Barbara is very intelligent. We have two wonderful sons who deserve the best of us. That’s the secret of our patchwork relationship,” he said of his first wife Barbara. He also praised Angela Ermakova, the mother of his illegitimate daughter Anna. “I have a similar relationship with my daughter’s mother. She did an incredible job of parenting and I have supported her every step of the way. She is now a strong, independent young woman,” said Becker.
Only Sharlely “Lilly” Becker criticized the tennis legend. “I hope we can get to the same point with Sharlely, but we’re not there yet. We have good moments and bad moments,” he said, adding, “Well, she has her opinions, which aren’t always right or legal correct. I’ll leave it at that.”
Apparently, Sharlely herself doesn’t want to leave it at that. The Dutchwoman took a stand against the “Bild” newspaper. “Boris seems to think he’s more intelligent than everyone around him. That’s why I’m looking forward to him soon fulfilling his obligations to his son,” she says quick-witted.
Five years after the split, Boris and Sharlely Becker are still not divorced. They have been arguing publicly and teasing each other in interviews for some time now. Recently, the model even called him a “devil”.
