After the penalty order against the pop singer and presenter Stefan Mross, the SWR is checking whether the 47-year-old can continue to moderate the ARD hit show “Always Again on Sundays”. “We are in talks with Stefan Mross with the aim of clarifying the facts and the background together,” said a spokesman for the Stuttgart broadcaster. This will still take some time.
So far, it was planned that Mross would be back on stage on May 7th and would present twelve episodes of the live show by the end of August. Several media previously reported.
The district court of Leipzig issued a penalty order against the Traunstein hit star in November after there was said to have been a physical altercation between Mross and a young man in a hotel. The public prosecutor’s office had previously investigated allegations of bodily harm and attempted coercion.
Compared to the “Bild” newspaper, Mross commented on the allegations: the young man initially insulted and insulted him at dinner in the hotel restaurant as “Schlagerfuzzi” and “playback artist”. When he then followed the singer to the room and continued to make fun of him, Mross grabbed his shirt collar. “The probability that I’ll do something like that is zero, but the guy got on my nerves,” said Mross. “The horses simply ran away with me. I’m not proud of that.”
