After another shot at an innkeeper in Plochingen (Esslingen district), the search for the perpetrator or perpetrators is underway. The investigators from the police and the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) also want to find out whether there is a connection to similar recent incidents in the southwest.
Early Sunday morning, several shots were fired from a car at the 34-year-old owner of the restaurant. He was alone in the restaurant at the station at the time of the crime. According to investigators, the victim was able to leave the hospital after a short time. Specialists secured evidence at the crime scene.
Another innkeeper was shot in Plochingen on February 25th. The 66-year-old suffered serious injuries. A little later, the LKA and the police headquarters in Reutlingen formed a joint investigative team. Incidents with shots from the areas of the praesidia in Ulm and Stuttgart are also examined here, as an LKA spokesman explained on Sunday.
For example, at the end of February, a 21-year-old woman was shot at from a moving car in Eislingen/Fils (Göppingen district). She was injured in the leg. In mid-March, unknown persons shot a 32-year-old in Stuttgart. Also last month, an FDP politician was shot in Hattenhofen (Göppingen district).
The joint evaluation of the cases should provide a better overview, as the LKA explained. Any witnesses who might be able to help clarify the matter should report there.
