Quentin Tarantino mostly watches older feature films. “I think it’s because of age. You get older and you don’t feel like looking at certain things anymore,” said the 60-year-old American cult director (“Pulp Fiction”, “Jackie Brown”, “Kill Bill”) in an interview with Spanish newspaper “La Vanguardia”.
“It’s the same with music. I’m not at all up to date with what’s playing right now. I watch the films I like and listen to the music I like. And the fact of the matter is that they come from another time,” Tarantino explained.
The man from Knoxville, Tennessee, doesn’t have a good word for today’s Hollywood productions. “They don’t really appeal to me,” he admitted. It is “definitely not the best time” in the US film mecca.
It has long been known that Tarantino’s tenth film “The Movie Critic”, about which relatively little information is available, will be the director’s last film. Is that really true? he was asked by “La Vanguardia”. “Yes, filmmaking just doesn’t motivate me anymore.” Ten is “a perfect number”. He also wants to spend more time with his family. Tarantino has lived in Israel for several years with his wife, singer Daniella Pick. In 2022 he became a father for the second time.
