Gérard Depardieu, 74, is said to have behaved inappropriately while filming eleven films over the past 20 years. According to a media report, a total of 13 women are currently accusing the actor of this. Depardieu allegedly inappropriately touched alleged victims or harassed them with inappropriate comments.

The French Internet newspaper “Mediapart” found out about the allegations after several months of research – in conversations with actresses, make-up artists and employees of various productions. The incidents are said to have often happened in public and on the sets of eleven films that were released between 2004 and 2022.

Apparently, no legal action has been taken against Depardieu in this regard. According to the industry magazine “Variety”, the Paris public prosecutor’s office has announced that no new complaint has been filed against the 74-year-old. Another investigation, which was started in 2020, has not yet been completed. A young actress accuses Depardieu of raping her in 2018. The Frenchman denies the allegations.

According to his law firm, Depardieu also denies the new allegations “which could fall under criminal law”. He does not plan to comment on the article. Among other things, he is accused of putting his hand under an actress’ dress and trying to get “into her panties” in 2015.

While filming another film, he stubbornly grabbed the buttocks of a fellow actress and suggested that she disappear into his dressing room. Depardieu also often made obscene comments of a sexual nature, which were dismissed by employees on the set – according to the principle: “It’s okay, it’s Gérard.” In the article, some witnesses of the incidents also have their say.

Born in France, who has held Russian citizenship since 2013, he has made countless films in his more than 50-year career. Depardieu’s best-known films include “Cyrano de Bergerac”, “The Count of Monte Cristo” and “Asterix
