Dieter Bohlen (69) goes on a big tour of Germany from April 16th. The starting gun is fired in Berlin, with eleven further dates to follow. The concerts advertised as “The Greatest Comeback of All Time” are not sold out yet. But Bohlen doesn’t let that get him down and defies speculation on social media about the apparently sluggish sales. “Some cities are almost sold out, there are still 30 or 40 tickets left,” Bohlen now clarifies in several Instagram stories.

At the same time, the pop titan also admits that sales are not going so well in other cities. “But that’s part of the career,” says Bohlen’s attitude. He played with Modern Talking partner Thomas Anders (60) after four number one hits at a concert in front of 200 people.

“Of course, this tour is not the end of my career on stage,” the 69-year-old also gives the all-clear. “It will just be a little different in the next few years.” He will also give one or two concerts in Germany. “But there will now be more tours abroad,” assures Bohlen. He has international success. “It’s going crazy for me abroad.”

In China he has landed two number one hits in the last five years. He’s also had a number of hits in South America: “It’s getting a bit more international now.” His audience “comes mostly from abroad and of course I have to serve them sometimes”. So you’ll see him on stage again and again: “Otherwise you’ll just come to Beijing.”

Next year, Dieter Bohlen will continue to appear on “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. Originally, “DSDS” was supposed to end with the current anniversary season. “There is a 21st season! I’m happy!” Said the pop titan in early April in the format’s first live show. There is also a change coming: in future, talented people from all age groups will be able to take part in the format. Anyone over 16 can come to the “DSDS” casting. “Apply now!” said the 69-year-old, opening the application phase for the surprise relay.
