Katja Krasavice’s new single “Women” will be released on May 4th. In the first single of her new album “Ein Herz für Bitches”, the 26-year-old campaigns for women and sings: “Yes, I know, not thinking is so easy. But maybe you’ll check it over time. Women don’t have to do anything “Women paint the world as they please. Even if everything sucks, you save yourself in the end. Yes, I know, it’s so easy not to think. Women don’t have to do anything, I’m exactly the woman that I like.” A message that comes as no surprise to the singer, who sees herself as the mouthpiece of a generation.
But who is meant by “you”? The Krasavice top that she wears in the video gives a hint. “Old White Men” is written on it – “old white men”. But it gets even more specific: In the background of the music video sits a man with bleached hair who wears sunglasses with blue lenses and a bright red sweater. He reads the newspaper and occasionally shakes his head. The resemblance to a well-known enemy of the singer is clear: the man is apparently supposed to represent Dieter Bohlen, with whom Krasavice fell out quite a bit during the last season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”.
The trigger for the dispute was the “DSDS” casting of the singer Jill Lange. Bohlen had asked: “Did you learn something or just let yourself be noodled through?”. After that, the peace between Krasavice and Bohlen was over, especially since he probably never apologized for this failure.
Now Krasavice apparently sees it as her mission to stand up to Bohlen. She got support for this – from Jill Lange. A picture showing the two, she captioned on Instagram with the line: “We are Dieter Bohlen’s coffin nail. Jill Lange is in the music video that comes on May 4th, 11:59 p.m..” In the picture she is wearing the same top as in the video.
Katja Krasavice gets a lot of headwind on social media. Especially in the comments on the video, numerous Bohlen fans have gathered, who insinuate that the singer will never be able to achieve Bohlen’s success. The singer’s cosmetic surgeries are (again) a topic.
