“Dahmer – Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer” is one of the most successful Netflix productions ever. According to the streaming platform, the true crime mini-series was watched worldwide for more than a billion hours in just the first two months after its launch.

No wonder the streaming service quickly agreed with director Ryan Murphy (57) and screenwriter Ian Brennan (45) to make the miniseries an anthology. As Netflix announces, two more seasons have been ordered for a “Monster” series.

The next season will be about the brothers Lyle (55) and Erik Menendez (52), who shot their parents in cold blood in 1989. Shortly after the double murder, the two brothers were targeted by the police when they squandered the inherited fortune. In a subsequent trial in 1996 they were sentenced to life imprisonment, which they are still serving in different prisons. The title of the new Netflix season: “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story”.

Ryan Murphy Productions has already released a first teaser trailer for the second “Monster” season on his Instagram channel. There is still little to see in it, the short video consists mainly of an audio recording of the emergency call made by Lyle Menendez at the time, in which he reported to the police with false tears that strangers had murdered his parents.
