The rehearsals for the coronation of King Charles III. in London are in full swing. The much-anticipated event will take place next Saturday. The page honours, eight boys between the ages of nine and 13, will also play an important role. They will hold up the six-pound robes as Charles and Camilla walk down the aisle of Westminster Abbey.

One of Camilla’s bellboys will be a bit limited though: her grandson Gus Lopes has broken his right arm and will need a sling. As the British newspaper “Daily Mail” reports, the 13-year-old fell on his bike during a family vacation and had to wear a cast at times. This has now been removed, but Gus will probably only be able to use one arm to lift the heavy robe.

He is supported by his twin brother Louis and his cousin Freddy Parker Bowles and Arthur Elliot. The latter is the grandson of Camilla’s sister Annabel Elliot. Twins Gus and Louis Lopes are the children of Camilla’s daughter Laura Lopes. Freddy Parker Bowles is the 13-year-old son of Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles.

King Charles III also has four honorary pages at his side. In addition to Prince George, son of Prince William and Princess Kate, there are Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, Nicholas Barclay and Ralph Tollemache. All children’s parents or grandparents have a long-standing connection with King Charles.

The election of Lord Oliver Cholmondeley in particular stands out. The 13-year-old is the son of the Margravine of Cholmondeley, Rose Hanbury. The 39-year-old and Prince William were said to have had an affair about four years ago. At the time, Hanbury was a neighbor of William and Kate. All eyes will not only be on Charles and Camilla at the coronation, attention is also guaranteed for the young page honour.
