Dieter Bohlen (69) announced at the beginning of April that the casting show “Deutschland sucht der Superstar” (RTL, also RTL) will continue in 2024, although the past anniversary season should seal the end of the format. In the past few weeks there has been speculation as to who will form the new jury alongside the pop titan. One thing is certain: one more member of the jury will remain. As “RTL.de” reports, Pietro Lombardi (30) will be back at the jury in the 21st season.
After his “DSDS” victory in 2011, Lombardi remained loyal to the casting show and became a juror in the 16th and 17th seasons and the anniversary season. The two jurors of the 20th season, social media star Katja Krasavice (26) and singer Leony (25), should vacate their seats in 2024, RTL should be looking for two successors. This was reported by the “Bild” newspaper.
There will be a change in the music show in the coming year: in the future, talents from all age groups will be able to take part in the format. Anyone over 16 can come to the “DSDS” casting. “Apply now!” Said Bohlen, thus opening the application phase for the new season. In 2023, the popularity of the fans was significantly higher than in the previous year, explained program director of RTL/RTL, Inga Leschek, about the surprising continuation of the show. “This positive response has prompted us to continue with ‘DSDS’ in 2024.”
