The King and Queen were “deeply touched” by Saturday’s (6 May) coronation celebrations. A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “Their Majesties were deeply touched by yesterday’s events and are deeply grateful to all those who helped make it such a glorious event – and to the many people so numerous in London and beyond showed up to show their support.”
As “Mail Online” further reports, Charles (74) and Camilla (75) are resting at Windsor Castle during the day on Sunday before the glamorous coronation concert takes place in the evening. Beforehand there should be a VIP reception in the presence of their Majesties for stars like Lionel Ritchie (73), Katy Perry (38) and Take That.
Meanwhile, other members of the royal family are attending street festivals across the country as part of a “Big Lunch” initiative to bring communities together.
