On Tuesday, the Dax continued its gains from the start of the week. The leading German index rose in the first few minutes of trading by 0.7 percent to 16,205.63 points, the highest level in three weeks. The evening before, there had been price gains on the US stock exchanges, where investors had primarily accessed technology stocks. In the US, inflation data should be released on Tuesday.

Inflation in Germany continues to weaken. At 6.1 percent, the annual inflation rate in May fell to its lowest level since March 2022, confirming the preliminary data from two weeks ago.

The MDax of medium-sized companies also gained 0.7 percent on Tuesday morning to 27,503.78 points. The EuroStoxx 50 was up 0.6 percent.
