In an interview with “RTL Exclusiv”, Wriedt recalled the day her husband died after a heart attack. “Suddenly, at 9 p.m., my husband is gone, without preparation and without warning,” said the presenter. “It’s so nasty, so brutal, because you don’t have a chance to say anything else, to prepare for it.” She hoped to the end that a miracle would happen and that her husband would wake up. “I hoped to the end that we would have a second chance.” The then seven-year-old son Lio was “incredible” and a great support after the loss, the presenter explained.
Wriedt and Schubert married for the first time in 2014 and renewed their vows in January 2020. On June 21, her lawyer confirmed the husband’s death after initial rumors in the “Bild” newspaper.
