Sarah Ferguson (63) speaks in her podcast for the first time about her breast cancer. She recorded the new episode of “Tea Talks with The Duchess and Sarah” before her operation, now it’s out. A spokesman for Ferguson told the BBC on Sunday that the Duchess of York had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. “Fergie” survived the unilateral mastectomy well and is now recovering with her family.
“It’s very important that we talk about it because by the time it airs, I’ll be through with it,” Sarah Ferguson said on the podcast about the mastectomy. “I don’t care if nobody wants to hear from me, I’m telling you that I do,” said Prince Andrew’s ex-wife (63). She also wants to encourage other people to have themselves examined. The cancer was discovered in her during a routine check-up.
Sarah Ferguson is trying to see her condition as a ‘gift’ to change her life. The diagnosis should help her to think about herself and not just try to fix everything around her. “Are you taking yourself seriously now?” she asks herself.
“I’ll get fit,” promises Sarah Ferguson in the podcast. She wanted to understand what caused the illness. “I can’t think of any more excuses, I have to go through this surgery and be strong and fit,” the Duchess continued.
Sarah Ferguson recently started the podcast Tea Talks with The Duchess and Sarah with her good friend Sarah Jane Thompson. She lives in the Royal Lodge in Windsor with her ex-husband Andrew, from whom she divorced in 1996. Andrew has fallen out of favor within the royal family for his alleged involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019) abuse scandal.
