In December 2021, the first season of the “Sex and the City” spin-off “And Just Like That…” premiered and brought some of the former series characters back together on screen. However, fans missed Kim Cattrall (66) as Samantha alongside Sarah Jessica Parker (58, Carrie), Cynthia Nixon (57, Miranda) and Kristin Davis (58, Charlotte). It was recently announced that she will be making a cameo appearance again for the first time in the finale of the second season, which has now started. Cattrall made it clear that it will probably stay with this small cameo – and now she seems to be confirming that again.

She responded with amusement to a tweet from author Evan Ross Katz, who appears to be jokingly commenting on Samantha’s absence. The latter tweeted a photo of the singer Shakira (46), who was part of the Fashion Week in Paris at the Viktor show

“And Just Like That…” is a production for the streaming service HBO Max. In Germany, the series can be seen via Sky Q and the streaming service Wow. After speculating extensively about the reasoning behind her absence from season one, Cattrall told Variety last year that HBO hadn’t even approached her for the first season of the show after she hadn’t shown any interest in one to take part in another “Sex an the City” feature film. According to her, the series is “basically the third film”.

Apparently, the brief appearance in the upcoming Season 2 finale was only made possible by the fact that Cattrall was now asked by the highest authority. In the US show “Today”, the actress said that it was a special experience “when the head of HBO calls you and asks, ‘How can I make this possible?'”. The actress went on to say that she was “just coming back for this cameo.”
