Around eight months after the end of her Spotify podcast “Archetypes”, Duchess Meghan (42) is looking forward again. As the US magazine “Deadline” reports, Prince Harry’s wife (39) has signed a new podcast deal. The 42-year-old will therefore produce her own, as yet untitled, podcast for Lemonada Media – and previously published episodes of “Archetypes” will also find a new home with the US company.
“I am proud to announce that I am joining the great team at Lemonada,” Duchess Meghan said in a statement. “The opportunity to support a woman-founded business with a range of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to start 2024.”
Meghan will develop a “dynamic new podcast” for Lemonada Media, which was founded in 2019 by Jessica Cordova Kramer and Stephanie Wittels Wachs (42), the statement continues. Further details such as the title or a start date are not given, but Meghan is “excited” to be able to share details about her new podcast “with others soon.”
Meghan’s podcast “Archetypes”, which was formerly on Spotify, will also find a new streaming home on Lemonada. “Our plan is to re-release ‘Archetypes’ so that more people have access to it,” the Duchess’ statement said.
The music streaming service Spotify canceled “Archetypes” in the summer of 2023 after just one season and twelve episodes. Duchess Meghan had previously spoken to celebrities such as Mariah Carey (54), Serena Williams (42) and Trevor Noah (39) in the format. After its premiere, the podcast debuted at number one on the international Spotify charts in the United States, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada and is said to have had around one million listeners per episode.
The company Lemonada Media was only founded in 2019. The company’s best-known podcast is “Wiser Than Me” by former “Seinfeld” and “Veep” star Julia-Louis Dreyfus (63). The audio show was named Apple’s “Best Podcast of 2023.” The comedians Sarah Silverman (53) and Samantha Bee (54) also run their own podcast on Lemonada.
