In 2006, Anne Hathaway (41), Meryl Streep (74) and Emily Blunt (40) celebrated a huge cinema success together with their roles in “The Devil Wears Prada”. Now fans can look forward to a small reunion of the three actresses almost 18 years later. As People magazine reports, Streep, Hathaway and Blunt will be on stage together as eulogists at the Screen Actors Guild Awards next Saturday.
In 2007, Meryl Streep was nominated for both a SAG Award and an Oscar for her role as Runway magazine editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada. This year, Emily Blunt is nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the SAG AWARDS for her role in the film “Oppenheimer.” Streep, on the other hand, can hope for an award together with the cast of “Only Murders in the Building”.
In December, Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway met again for a conversation with the portal “Variety” and in the interview talked about the importance of “The Devil Wears Prada” for their careers. Blunt recalled of filming: “We just had a blast making this movie. I don’t know if any of us knew it would turn out the way it did. Every week I quote it. It’s going to be the movie that changed my life.”
The 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will air live on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium on Saturday, February 24th
