With her unique creations, Phoebe Philo shaped the fashion house Celine for years as the design head. For a long time, fashion fans waited eagerly for the creations that Philo wanted to bring onto the market under her own name. The time had come last autumn. Now Philo teased her new collection. And the Brit has found a famous face for her campaign: German actress and Oscar hopeful Sandra Hülser is one of the women currently modeling for Philo.

There are currently only three posts on Phoebe Philo’s Instagram account, one of the pictures shows Hülser wearing a white pinstripe shirt and black pants and sitting cross-legged. She also wears black flip flops, her hair is slicked back and her make-up – if she wears any at all – is kept subtle. Another shot shows the actress grinning at the camera.

The timing of the publication of the photos should not be a coincidence. With Hülser, Philo has hired one of the Oscar contenders of the year. The world’s most important film prize will be awarded again on Sunday evening in Los Angeles. Hülser is nominated for her performance in “Anatomy of a Case.” “I’m going in with a lot of gratitude. I think also with a lot of calm,” Hülser recently told the German Press Agency.

She was impressed by the openness of the Oscar Academy. “It’s really about whether it’s good work. It really doesn’t matter where someone comes from. That’s the impression I have right now and that’s really great,” said Hülser.

It’s not Hülser’s first time at the Oscars. She celebrated her premiere at the awards ceremony in 2017 as the leading actress in Maren Ade’s comedy-drama “Toni Erdmann”, with a nomination in the “International Feature Film” category, but without a win.
