Madonna (64) shows herself during her recovery with a new photo on Instagram. Because she looks amazingly fit, her fans are busy discussing the current post.
“A single rose can be my garden, a single friend my world,” the singer quotes American author Leo Buscaglia (1924-1998) on her Instagram page. In addition, she publishes a picture in which she hugs a large bouquet of pink roses. Her blond hair is braided and her skin looks very smooth.
While some fans are happy about Madonna’s recovery progress, others criticize that the picture has been edited too much and that the singer is not recognizable at all. She appears “unrealistically flawless,” judges “Page Six,” the gossip site of the New York Post. Even before her medical emergency, the pop star had repeatedly caused a stir with heavily edited images. Madonna obviously wants to continue this tradition.
On June 28, it was revealed that the singer had been found unconscious a few days earlier and taken to a New York City hospital, where she was intubated in the intensive care unit. Her manager Guy Oseary (50) shared via Instagram that Madonna had “developed a serious bacterial infection” that “resulted in a stay in intensive care for several days”. She was first spotted strolling through New York on Sunday, July 9, according to Page Six.
A day later she spoke publicly for the first time since her hospital stay. On Instagram, the Queen of Pop thanked her fans for their support. She is “on the mend” and is now concentrating on her health. “And I can assure you, I will be with you as soon as possible!” She actually wanted to start her “Celebration” tour on July 15 in Canada. However, the concerts in North America are said to be postponed and the tour will now start in Europe in October.
