Kim Kardashian (42) was married to Kanye West (46) from 2014 to 2022. After breaking up with the rapper, she dated comedian and actor Pete Davidson (29) for several months. As the entrepreneur now suggests, however, she now considers the relationship to be a mistake.
Kardashian “jumped into another relationship so quickly,” she explains, according to US magazine “People” in a new episode of reality format “The Kardashians”. She wanted to distract herself from certain things – and it was not the right way to run away from these things. As with a mantra, say, “It is better to deal with it. Heal… deal with it, heal it, and then feel it.”
At the same time, she does not want to look back negatively on her experiences with her now controversial ex-husband West. Among other things, he had spread anti-Semitic slogans and caused outrage with an interview with the right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones (49).
“I’m not going to take every experience and bad thing that’s happened to me and carry it around with me in my life,” Kardashian is quoted as saying. She asks herself questions like, “What should I learn from this? How can this make me a better person?”
Kardashian previously spoke about her split from Davidson on the show. “We talked and talked, we had talked about it,” Kardashian explained. They would have communicated “really well”. The entrepreneur felt “a lot of guilt” during the romance as Davidson “was going through a lot because of the relationship.” Again, this could be a reference to West repeatedly publicly tackling Davidson throughout the nine-month relationship.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian became a couple in 2012. They got engaged in 2013 and married a year later. In February 2021, Kardashian finally filed for divorce. This was officially completed in November 2022, as reported by US media. They have four children together – daughters North (10) and Chicago (5) and sons Saint (7) and Psalm (4).
