Bronny James (18), the eldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James (38), suffered a cardiac arrest during a training session yesterday, Monday, according to reports from the “TMZ” portal. In the meantime, however, the condition of the college player is stable again. The junior was able to leave the intensive care unit again.
As a spokesman for the prominent basketball family reported in an official statement, LeBron Raymone James Jr., known as “Bronny James”, unexpectedly suffered a heart attack followed by cardiac arrest during a regular training session for the University of Southern California.
In the same breath with the shocking news, however, the all-clear was given: “The medical staff were able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in a stable condition and no longer in intensive care.” The spokesman added: “We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and will update the media as soon as more information becomes available.”
In the statement, Bronny James’ parents expressed their gratitude to the “medical and athletic staff at the University of Southern California” who made sure their son was promptly referred for medical treatment that saved his life. Basketball star LeBron James and his high school sweetheart Savannah James (36) have been married since 2013. In addition to Bronny James, they have another son and a daughter.
