Since her stage accident on June 18 in Hanover, Helene Fischer has been quiet. The singer, who turns 39 this Saturday (August 5), not only heals her wound above her nose, but also draws new strength to continue her tour. Because from August 25th she wants to be fit again for her fans.
After the summer break, Germany’s most famous singer will continue on August 25 in Cologne. Afterwards, as part of their “Rausch” tour, concerts in Vienna (Austria), Arnhem (Holland), Zurich (Switzerland), Munich and Frankfurt are on the program. The grand finale is to be celebrated in the Main metropolis on October 8th. For Helene Fischer, the tour was not only a real feat in advance. She had been planning the spectacle with Cirque du Soleil for more than two years and completed tough training with the dancers and acrobats in Canada just a year after the birth of her daughter.
She then had to experience for herself that the rehearsals at dizzying heights on the trapeze are not only difficult, but also dangerous: Fischer sustained a rib fracture, so that the start of the tour had to be postponed from March to April. Two months later there was the next incident: At the concert in Hanover, she hit her head on a trapeze bar and suffered a laceration above her nose. Professionally, she went through the song bleeding heavily, but then the concert had to be stopped. “I’m fine. I was well taken care of,” said Fischer after the incident on her Instagram page. Her wound was stitched up in the hospital. “There was also no fracture or anything else found.” She further explained: “I’m now using the break to recover and recharge my batteries so that I can rock with all of you again in Cologne!”
That hiatus will soon be over, and fans can look forward to more experiences with their star. Fischer had already announced in advance that she wanted to show her feelings on the tour. And she did – even more than many expected. Because on stage she was unusually intimate with her partner Thomas Seitel (38). The couple usually keeps their relationship out of the public eye. But during the love song “Hand in Hand” they floated together on ropes. Viewers were able to experience intimate moments as the couple looked deep into each other’s eyes, hugged and sometimes even kissed. It couldn’t be overlooked: Helene Fischer is currently very happy.
Otherwise, she tries to keep her private life to herself as much as possible. “My private life is my only retreat, my only protection,” she admitted in an interview with “Zeit” in November 2021. At the time, she also expressed her disappointment that private events were made public without her consent. That’s how it was in 2018 when she separated from moderator Florian Silbereisen (42) and also during her pregnancy: “We consciously held it back for a long time and at first only shared it in the very, very narrowest circle – in the families.” She was “madly disappointed” that “someone must have betrayed me”. The publicity that her fame brings is a double-edged sword for the 39-year-old, who is quick to point out that she doesn’t live a glamorous life off the stage. Many people could not even imagine “how normal, unassuming and also chaotic my life is. It would be disappointing for many to see how normal my lifestyle is. I am not interested in luxury.”
Since she likes to withdraw privately, little of her has leaked out in the past few weeks. She was only seen with her partner at a Beyoncé concert in Frankfurt. In the pictures she was wearing a plaster over her wound, which hopefully will have healed well by August 25th. For the remaining concerts of her mammoth tour, the blonde needs all her strength again. And supposedly there are other plans for this year: at the beginning of July rumors circulated that she could finally delight her fans again with a “Helene Fischer Show” on Christmas Day. The popular show on ZDF paused for three years due to the corona pandemic.
