Spontaneously and secretly, Princess Kate (41) is said to have visited the Houghton Festival in Norfolk and celebrated among the tens of thousands of visitors. This was reported by the “Daily Mail”. Husband Prince William (41) should not have been there.
The future British queen went “secretly to the upper-class 24-hour music festival” at the weekend, the report said. The festival is being held at the home of her friend Rose Hanbury, 39, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley. Kate is said to have been invited to dinner there beforehand. “After dinner, one of the guests suggested that Catherine go to the festival,” the Daily Mail quoted an insider as saying. The princess was “nervous about the idea” and had long discussions with her security officers. Finally, the mother of three decided to visit the nearby festival site accompanied by her security.
The Houghton Festival is an arts and music festival. Billed as Britain’s only 24-hour music festival, it was created in 2017 by DJ Craig Richards. More than 200 artists performed on 13 stages from Thursday to Sunday, and around 12,000 visitors celebrated at the Norfolk site.
Kate is considered an avid dancer and music fan. She used to love to hang out in London clubs. It is not known if she has ever attended a festival before. In 2008 she was photographed visiting a roller skating disco with friends. Heir to the throne William also likes to party. As recently as June, he was spotted dancing with a pal at London nightclub Koko.
