The move from goalkeeper Daniel Peretz to FC Bayern is perfect. The 23-year-old goalkeeper comes from the Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv and has been given a five-year contract with the German record champions until the summer of 2028. According to media reports, the Munich team will pay a fee of five million euros for the provisional number two behind Sven Ulreich.

After a tough search and numerous twists and turns, the goalkeeper transfer site at FC Bayern is closed. For a long time, the Munich team had been looking for a replacement for captain Manuel Neuer, who was not yet able to play again after a broken leg. Shortly before the start of the Bundesliga, the club bosses then decided to start the new season with Ulreich as number one. Peretz now has to line up behind the 35-year-old. He is seen as a man of the future and should learn from Ulreich and Neuer.

Even before the official announcement, Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel had described the newcomer as a “young talent” with “very good character”. “We watched him for a long time. He played a very good U21 European Championship. After that we decided that he could be a good addition to our goalkeeper group,” reported Tuchel.
