Stress in everyday life does not have to mean forgoing beautiful styling. With just a few simple steps, both stylish beach waves and radiantly fresh make-up can be achieved. Munich star hairdresser Cristoph Gambeck has practical and simple tips in an interview with spot on news, which can currently be seen in the second season of “Cut it – the VorHAIR NachHAIR Show” on sixx (always on Fridays at 8:15 p.m.).
The so-called beach waves, light curls that many people create after a day of swimming at the beach, provide a little bounce in the hair. How can you quickly style these yourself? “Simply braid all of your dry hair into four thick braids. Then slide the straightening iron from bottom to top. Repeat this step two to three times. Normally you slide the iron from top to bottom, in this case you create hair with the Reverse movement creates a loose beach wave,” explains Cristoph Gambeck.
Depending on how big or small the curls should be, you should either use a straightening iron or a curling iron. “A large curling iron should definitely be used for large curls. Straightening irons are perfect for looser looks such as modern beach waves, where a wavy, not too curly look is to be achieved,” says Gambeck. His expert tip: “Gladly with a straight tip, if the tip is too curly, the result often looks too old-fashioned.”
When it comes to hair accessories, the stylist recommends: “Less is more! But this summer, hair bands and headscarves are very trendy.”
When it comes to make-up, Gambeck recommends blushes in pink tones, which would ensure a fresh look, “plus some highlighter for the cheeks”. You can also dab a little of this onto the movable eyelid.
Speaking of lip care: “The perfect lipstick color is always chosen to match the color of the lips. For dark lips, the lipstick should not be too bluish. For light lips, almost any color and effect works – whether matt or shiny,” says Gambeck and adds: “Important: Warm colors often make your teeth appear yellower. Tip: Lipstick smashing – this involves applying two to three different lipstick colors and mixing them together directly on the lips.”
