Fans of the Rolling Stones can look forward to new music, a fresh album and a new era for the cult band. The Stones announced this on September 4th. And further details are to follow shortly. Mick Jagger (80), Ronnie Wood (76) and Keith Richards (79) want to talk about all of this on Wednesday.
On September 6, there will be a YouTube live stream from the Hackney district of London, as the band announced on Instagram, among other things. US moderator and comedian Jimmy Fallon (48) leads through the stream. The whole thing can be seen from 3:30 p.m. German time.
The record will be titled “Hackney Diamonds” and will be the first studio album with new songs since “A Bigger Bang” was released around 18 years ago. It is also the first album since the death of Stones veteran Charlie Watts (1941-2021). In 2016, the group “Blue

Jagger and his colleagues placed an advertisement in the local newspaper, the Hackney Gazette, under false names. The ad for the fictional company “Hackney Diamonds” featured references to the songs “Satisfaction”, “Gimme Shelter” and “Shattered”. There was also talk of a new store opening in September 2023 – and the band’s iconic tongue logo was featured in small, as well as 1962, the year the band was formed.
Fans can also listen to the new song “Angry” on “dontgetangrywithme.com” and on social media. There should also be more information about the song on Wednesday. The Stones are also expected to announce the album’s release date, which the ad says could be as early as September.
