Handball Bundesliga team SG Flensburg-Handewitt suffered another loss of points in the title fight. The North Germans only played 31:31 (16:14) at TBV Lemgo Lippe on Monday. Shortly before the final whistle, Lukas Jörgensen equalized for the guests, who, like Lemgo, have 5:3 points on their account. The best throwers were Emil Jakobsen with six goals for the SG and the ex-Flensburg player Niels Versteijnen with ten goals for the TBV.

The Lemgoers, who had won the last two home games against Flensburg, started with concentration and after a quarter of an hour had gained a 7:5 lead thanks to two goals in one minute. As the game wore on, the North Germans initially took over command. Shortly before the break, the SG led for the first time with three goals (16:13/27th minute), shortly after the break the lead was four goals for the first time (20:16/35th minute).

But the Lippers were far from defeated. At 22:22 (43rd) they had leveled the game again. Seven minutes before the end, the strong Versteijnen scored the 27:26 for the TBV. In the exciting final phase, the guests fought for a point.
